Most times we come face-to-face with tension and the sweat out of it even as seen in an Air conditioning room seems to be noticeable. The sweat that comes along with us when we are under tension is sometimes so pathetic that we ourselves find it difficult to accept that this is us under such pressure. Sometimes I know, people drive us wild while we go about nagging and killing ourselves over nothing. And when we do that, we made ourselves victims of unnecessary commotion.

At every moment of tension, we should be concerned about our health and also have it at the back of our mind what tension could do to our health in the long run. Actually, tension is never a good antidote towards promoting a healthy body and the right mindset that we need to face any challenges that might come our way. When it has to do with tension, we should know how we conduct ourselves because, in that situation, it is an invitation to that which we might later regret.

You know it is undue pressure that will create undue tension and when that comes visible, you are bound not to be yourself again. The moment you allow other people’s opinion defines your person; then for sure you are about to defeat your self-worth and you know what this might do to your destiny.

    The people you know that are successful actually are people who stood still in spite of all odds against them. They fought their way to the top and did never allow anything that could distract their vision to die inside of them. They were zealous for that which they believe is the right thing to do. Sincerely they put in a good fight that made them war against that which are the diminishing factors towards their process in life.     Stop Making Excuses

    I keep preaching this term but never put it into practice, but an event that occurred in the office some time ago reaffirms my thought on this.

    3.15p.m. on a hot afternoon, it started like a movie. I was asked to take a salary payment to the bank in town which was very far from where the office was located.  I made an excuse that it was not possible considering the time that banks closed their door to customers by 4.00p.m. Naturally, this was not possible considering the traffic on the road.

    Hey! After making my excuses, my Boss said, Go! That was all I heard, typical of him, no excuses. Anyhow, I moved with the driver and we made it at exactly the time. By the time I came back, he gave me some valuable lessons in life. Never make excuses and give a thousand reasons why it can’t be done. Always, first give it a try when that is not possible, communicate and try the next day. Now I know. Maybe I should have known better than a winner’s mindset never accommodates excuses.

    If you want to remain successful, never ever believe that excuses exist. Actually, as people would say that excuses are for losers. People who do not want to take responsibility for anything actually find their lifeline in making unnecessary excuses for every little thing they encountered. Making excuses will do you no good when it has to do with what will benefit yourself and others. And the more you make excuses; people will never see nor take you as a serious person. That is the pride that defines you as one that is serious about that which you do. Giving excuses will never allow you to make meaning out of anything. In a workplace, those who make excuses might never find any promotion from their superior.

    When you give excuses, it will never add up to the growth of anything but rather will diminish the force of change. We make progress when we get the job done and not when we give excuses. If you must succeed in life, do not give excuses for every little thing but rather see to it that you give it a try first and where it is not possible, try again. It is by giving it a try that you will defeat the enemy called an excuse.
