1. One time, Judah comot from him brothers go stay with one Adullam man wey name na Hirah.
2. There, he see one Canaanite woman, daughter of Shua. He marry her and sleep with her.
3. She born pikin, and he name am Er.
4. She born again, name dat one Onan.
5. She born third one wey dem call Shelah, and Judah dey Kezib when she born am.
6. Judah find wife for Er, him first son. Di woman name na Tamar.
7. But Er do evil for God eye, so God kill am.
8. Judah tell Onan, “Go marry your late brother wife and give her pikin for your brother name.”
9. But Onan know say di pikin no go be him own, so any time he sleep with Tamar, he pour di thing for ground.
10. God vex for di wicked thing wey Onan dey do, so He kill am too.
11. Judah tell Tamar, “Go your papa house go stay as widow until Shelah grow up.” But inside him mind, he fear say Shelah fit die like him brothers. So Tamar go back her papa house.
12. Long time pass, Judah wife die. After mourning, Judah go Timnah with him friend Hirah to check him people wey dey shear sheep.
13. When Tamar hear say Judah dey go Timnah,
14. she remove her widow cloth, wear veil, cover face and sit for Enaim junction. She do this because Judah never give her Shelah as husband.
15. Judah see her and think say she be prostitute because her face cover.
16. He waka go meet her say, “Make I sleep with you.” He no know say na Tamar. She say, “Wetin you go give me?”
17. Judah say, “I go send you small goat from my animals.” She say, “Give me something to hold till you bring am.”
18. Judah say, “Wetin you want make I give?” She say, “Your seal, your cord, and your walking stick.” He give her and sleep with her, and she carry belle.
19. She stand up go back house, remove veil and wear widow cloth again.
20. Judah send goat through his friend Hirah to collect him items, but dem no find her.
21. Hirah ask around, “Where the prostitute wey dey for Enaim junction?” People say, “We no get such person here.”
22. Hirah return and tell Judah say dem no see her.
23. Judah say, “Make she keep di things. I don try give di goat, make dem no laugh us.”
