Best Daily Capsule Tips on How to Care for Your Eyes Everyday

"The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light". —Mathew 6:22

The human eyes have many parts which must work together to produce clearness. Sermon with Bible Verses on His Wish, My Command

Vision

The sclera or white part of the eye protects the eyeball.

The pupil all black dots at the centre of the eye, is an opening through which light can enter the eye.

The iris or coloured part of the eye surrounds the pupil. It controls how much light enters the eye by changing the size of the pupil.

The cornea, a clear window at the front of the eye, covers the iris and the pupil.

A clear lens, located behind the pupil, acts as a camera lens by focusing light onto the retina at the back of the eye. This is the part that becomes clouding in cataracts.

There are many other important parts of the eyes that cannot be seen without special optical equipment including the retina, which is a light-sensitive lining at the back of the eye and the optic nerve, which is very important for relaying visual messages to and from the brain.

Damage to one or more of these parts of the eyes can affect vision partially or totally. Damage to other organs/systems of the body can also affect the eye.

To Protect Your Vision

[1]. Eat Well

Good eye health starts with the food on your plate.

Food such as bananas, grapes, oranges, and other citrus fruit or juice.

Banana contains vitamin A which protects the eye membrane and provides light to the cornea.

Oranges help repair and regenerate worn-out tissues, and may reduce the risk of cataracts and macular degeneration later in life.

Grape enriched diet provides a protective effect on retinal structure and function.

Green Leafy Vegetables and Carrots

Green vegetables contain plant pigments that help reduce the development of macular degeneration and cataracts.

Carrots provide beta-carotene nutrients to improve eyesight.

Salmon, tuna, and other oily fish; eggs, nuts, and beans.

Nutrients like omega-3 fat, zinc and vitamin C and E, help to protect against age-related vision problems like macular degeneration and cataracts.

[2]. Avoid Direct Continuous Exposure to Smoke

Exposure to smoke make a person more likely to get cataract, damage to the optic nerve, and macular degeneration, among other medical problems.

[3]. Wear Protective Sunglasses/Safety Eyewear to Protect your Eyes from Excessive Light Rays

If you are frequently exposed to the sun's ultraviolet rays or any other source of intense light rays, use the right pair of shades to protect your eyes from the ultraviolet (UV) rays. Excessive UV exposure increases your chances of cataracts and macular degeneration.

Likewise, if you are exposed to hazardous or airborne particles at work, on the farm or even at home, wear safety glasses or protective goggles.

[4]. Frequently Look away from the Computer Screen and Phone Screen

Staring at the computer or phone screen for too long can cause damage to the body, especially your eyes by causing eye strain, blurry vision, trouble focusing at a distance, dry eyes, headaches, neck, back, and shoulder pain.

Use an anti-glare screen it prevents direct exposure to excessive rays from the computer screen.

Move the computer screen so that your eyes are level with the top of the monitor. That lets you look slightly down at the screen. Choose a comfortable, supportive chair. Position it so that your feet are flat on the floor.

Rest your eye every 20 minutes. Look 20 feet away for seconds. Get up at least every 2 hours and take a 15-minute break.

If your eyes are dry, blink more or try using artificial tears.

Ensure that if you use glasses or contacts, your prescription is up to date and good looking at a computer screen.

If your eyes strain wouldn't go away, talk to your doctor about computer glasses.

Remember our Lord Jesus cares for your eyes.
