Guide Me, Great Redeemer

As I take my pilgrim walk through this barren land
Oh, guide me my Great Redeemer, the saviour of my soul
For I am weak by daily temptations that befall my life
Oh, hold me in your mighty hands and breathe upon me
You make me feed from the strength that is in Your words
That my life will bring glory to your Holy name alone.

Open unto me your healing stream that heals all infirmity
And let my meditations in your word, make me whole again
Oh, lead me through this journey to live and glorify You
For in You, I have found a friend who is truly trustworthy
One who cares with tender kindness without an iota of doubt
To lead me in the path of righteousness forever and evermore.

Unto You O Lord I trust Your mighty power in all of its might
Wondrous works You have done in ages past and even today
You deliver your children from the hands of the evil ones
And gave unto us the grace to be called Your very elects
You conquer those that need to be conquered for our sake
And bestow to us a peace of mind that surpasses all understanding.

When I tread the path that brings shame to Your Holy name
You never let me walk alone in my backsliding torment of shame
Yet You still call me Your own and drew me closer to Yourself
As I wept in my folly stage running back into Your embrace
Where I found a safe dwelling place to fellowship with You
In the beauty of Your holiness that gives me limitless joy.

You have saved me, You have kept me, You are giving me hope
You have been my Great Redeemer, the one whom I trust
You are my present help in times of trouble and despair
I will live to honour You forever and ever as I breathe
For there is nor like You, the giver of life, my creator
You made me whole and restore to me the joy of my salvation.
