Best Chapter 6 | Diary of Nsikak Andrew | My Wilnettes Technologies Limited Set Up Story

How I came in contact with Wilnettes Technologies Limited. The company I penned down on 13th June 2002. The name of the company actually came through the name of the former deputy speaker of my state at that time. Winmos was his business name. And he was going into the hospitality industry and needed a name for the brand. My Aunty, the one I called my God Mother came back one hot afternoon while I was at their place.

Winmos, who happened to be a family friend of theirs wanted a name for his business. And she was like we should suggest a name for the brand. I made a combination of his and nest's. There within my thought the name Wilnettes was born. In all, the name was not used but I adopted it as one of the technology company names that I would use when it is time for me to set one up. But will I use this name, I doubt if that would become possible.

And still, within my search on some of the longtimer collections of my write-up, I found the slogan for Wilnettes, the company profile and the foundation I wanted to set up for the company. Dreams, how we dream and within it, so many things just took it away.

The slogan was - more than just a net. And the company profile. Wilnettes is a company that has come to stay. Its name comes from a will to succeed in the online space. Indeed our company is a young one just arriving on the scene. We intend to play a leading role in the e-business environment.

Our focus is to help established companies distribute their product and services to clients all over the world on commission.

Looking at the profile of Wilnettes Foundation with the slogan - humility to serve humanity.

The Mission Statement says Wilnettes Foundation is born out of humility to serve humanity. Wilnettes Foundation desires and seeks to improve on the totality of technological development of the less privileged in our society. It is interesting to note that most of the non-governmental organizations are engaged in fighting HIV/AID, providing food/shelter, child abuse, medical attention, etc. These basic needs of the less privileged are essential but does it make provision for their technological development in this 21st century.

Over the years, one of the most tragic consequences of the economic recession that a nation could experience is the continuous rise in the incidence of child abandonment and child abuse. Young mothers who are unable to cope with the financial and psychological costs of bringing up their children opt for the easy way out. They simply look for a convenient place to dump the poor babies and escape literally from the problem.

Sometimes, the babies die before they are discovered. Quoted a few, for reasons which can only be described as divine survival. Life is a function of hope and places these children on the goodwill of the general society.

This goodwill and many others are what Wilnettes Foundation is out to provide for the needed technological development that will brighten their future and place them within the bracket of forces to be reckoned with in society.

My heart couldn't be in happier mode as I found one of the letters I drafted to Thuraya, If this phone is still in operation right now, I wonder who will still buy it. See how the leaders of yesterday are now becoming obsolete. Make I no talk too much. The letter.

I love your slogan. "We go further. You stay closer". My little company is in a big way and would want a partnership deal with your company in helping distribute your wide range of products in the world over. Here are our services for clients. And will be interested to know if you could appoint us to distribute your product to others on commission.

In trying to get a big break, I could remember penning down some of the big companies we could get across to see if we could get a partnership deal on commission to grow our firm and foundation.
