While waiting for the NYSC call-up letter, I came to work in the computer section of emsel group, a printing press in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
17th October 2020, I found out from my collection of write-ups that I resumed work with EMSEL Group on 11th April 2005. Emsel Group was owned by Mr. Etofia, the then Local Government Chairman of Uyo Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State. That was the place I worked last before heading for Service.
Here I found some of the daily things I learn in the Printing press where I was in their computer section. Cropping with Adobe Photoshop 7.0 which has to do with pictures, and scanning textbooks (scripting). Working or editing pictures which have to do with brightening and contrast, level, and editing affected parts of the pictures.
Working with pictures in CorelDraw which has to do with brightening, levelling, feeding to objects, and editing feed objects using the right mouse. Working with text, plastic text and objects has to do with shadowing and increase shadowing.
Learning about printing, colour separations, and pressing down F5 when printing.
12th April 2005, I got embarrassment with printing in hp 5100. And I learnt adjustment in printing, separation of colour. In A2 paper, you need to keep it in portrait but change it to landscape when printing. set twice when printing, select 300dpi and right-click and select print from sheet. I Wish I can still remember all this hidden knowledge in printing from the computer.
And need I tell you that I learnt Photoshop 7.0, how to treat pictures and canvas size. And CorelDraw 11 on how to plastic a text, convert it to BMP, and shadow outside.
